I have a passion for nursing care of children and families.  I have been teaching in the undergraduate nursing program at OHSU since 2004. The main areas in which I teach are in physical assessment, pediatric chronic illness, care in the community and maternal/child health. My teaching philosophy is to facilitate student learning that is transformative to their personal and professional lives. I view teaching as a partnership with students to identify the way forward in their education and to help them develop lifelong learning habits. My goal is that students will both meet their course learning outcomes and have a positive impact on the lives of the clients they learn from.
