Young Onset Information

People diagnosed with young onset Parkinson’s disease (under 55 years of age) face unique challenges. In their most productive years, they are committed to raising their families, building careers, and serving their communities. Dealing with a chronic, progressive illness like PD is an unwelcome burden to already hectic, demanding lives.

Education, community resources, and a knowledgeable medical team can help young onset individuals to meet the challenges young onset PD (YOPD) poses.

The following websites are good places to start for more information on living with YOPD.
