This core facility is equipped and staffed to provide a full array of histology services.

Tissue processing and paraffin embedding.

Sectioning (cryostat or paraffin-embedded) to specified thickness.

Histochemical stains, including: Hematoxylin and eosin (H&E), Trichrome, Elastin, Reticulin, Giemsa, Luxol fast blue, Iron, Bacterial and fungal

Costs: The core facility receives support from both the Oregon Cancer Institute and the Heart Research Center, and therefore members of these centers are eligible for a discount on all histology related charges.
