Mucosal & Acral Melanoma – BRAF, NRAS and KIT genes
Test Description
Mutations in NRAS (codons 12, 13 and 61); BRAF (exon 15); and KIT gene mutations are screened by high resolution melting curve analysis. Potential mutations are confirmed by standard bi-directional DNA sequencing.
Unless otherwise requested, testing is done serially, with BRAF and NRAS screened first.
