SUPPORTING HEALTHY OPTIONS FOR PREVENTION (SHOP)

SHOP is our name for the CDC intervention known as Comprehensive Risk Counseling and Services CRCS. We work with people who are at risk for contracting or transmitting HIV/AIDS and/or other Sexually Transmitted Infections. This includes people who are HIV positive and those who are HIV negative or don't know their HIV status.

Our counselors use motivational interviewing techniques as a way to partner with clients in an effort to create a plan for risk reduction and self-care.

Clients may receive six confidential and private sessions available at a variety of locations, including over the phone and via the Internet. Services available in Spanish.

Incentives are available to eligible participants.

SHOP Eligibility Requirements:

  • People living with HIV/AIDS interested in reducing their risks
  • People who are at high risk of contracting HIV/AIDS and interested in reducing their risks
