HIV 101 FUZEON GROUPS Positive Living SeriesPartnership Project and other HIV community service agencies offer a seven-week series with a focus on helping people living with HIV/AIDS increase self-management skills. Why would I attend the Positive Living Series?Based on the Chronic Disease Self Management Model, developed by Stanford University, Positive Living is a self management series designed to assist you in taking care of your illness, give you skills to carry out normal daily activities and provide you with the tools to manage emotional changes.
Attendance is free and includes a meal and a book. Space is limited and reservations are required. To register, call Julia Lager-Mesulam at 503-230-1202, ext. 235 or at lagermes@ohsu.edu The groups are co-facilitated by Mental Health professionals, Nurses and a Person Living with HIV/AIDS. Your questions and concerns are addressed in a confidential setting with treatment experienced patients and medical providers. HIV 101Partnership Project offers a monthly workshop providing basic information for individuals who are newly diagnosed with HIV. Why would I attend an HIV 101 Group?HIV 101 was designed to provide education to people living with HIV around understanding and living with the disease and information around access to services.
HIV 101 is a one-time two hour group and is offered once a month. Attendance is free and includes food. Space is limited and reservations are required. Fuzeon Information GroupsPartnership Project, with support from Roche Pharmaceutical, offers ongoing information groups for people taking Fuzeon or those who are considering Fuzeon. Providers, care givers and support people are also welcome. What is Fuzeon?FUZEON is the first in a class of anti-HIV medicines known as fusion inhibitors. FUZEON is taken two times a day as an injection under the skin. Why would I attend the Fuzeon Information Group?The group was created in January 2004 to provide a space for those taking Fuzeon or considering taking Fuzeon, and their support people, a place to ask questions, discuss concerns and receive information about Fuzeon from peers and medical professionals. The group is open to anyone. You do not need to be a client of Partnership Project to attend either of these groups. Discussion topics include:
