Why did I get a parking ticket / How do I resolve my parking ticket?

Please follow the instructions on the parking ticket. For tickets issued on or after May 1, 2010, payments or appeals must be received by Transportation & Parking within 30 days of issuance. Unresolved parking fines double after the 30th day.  Parking ticket appeals must be submitted within 30 days of issuance of the parking ticket in order to receive an appeals hearing. Appeals received after the 30th day will not be granted. In addition to the unpaid parking fine doubling after the 30th day, the vehicle operator may lose eligibility to renew a parking permit or receive a transit pass, may result in collection proceedings, and may represent violations of the OHSU Code of Conduct, potentially resulting in disciplinary action.

How do I get a permanent parking sticker / sign up on the parking sticker waiting list?
To obtain a permanent parking sticker, you must first sign up on either the Marquam Hill waiting list or South Waterfront reservation list. You may sign up for any zone that you want, and the waiting time varies per zone.

Where do I park when there are no longer any day passes being sold?
Day passes are sold as on a first come first serve basis. The best time to buy a permit is in the early morning, since this is when the majority of the passes are sold. Once these passes are sold based on number of monthly passes and patients scheduled for the day, sales will be stopped. The Parking Office encourages you to use Tri-Met Tuesday - Thursday. There is limited street parking, which is monitored by the City of Portland.

If you need to use a substitute vehicle, please call the Parking Office at 503-494-8283 and inform them of this change so you will not inadvertently receive a parking ticket. Please have the following information:
