ABOUT Us
The Oregon Office on Disability and Health is a collaboration between Oregon Health & Science University and the Department of Human Services, Public Health Division. Since 1994, OODH has been an integral part of Oregon's disability and health efforts.
Mission
OODH's mission is to prevent secondary conditions and improve the health and quality of life of Oregonians with disabilities through improved access to health care facilities and public health programs and effective health promotion and wellness programs.
Funding
The Oregon Office on Disability and Health has been continually grant funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention since 1994 under Cooperative Agreement #U59/CCU010935. It is a collaborative effort between Oregon Health & Science University and the State of Oregon Department of Human Services.
Health Promotion
OODH promotes the health and wellness of Oregonians with disabilities through several activities:
- collecting population data
- women with disabilities breast health promotion
- emergency preparation training
- workshop opportunities for people with disabilities
- community engagement activities
- policy development
- dissemination of materials and information
Statewide Impact
OODH's health promotion activities have reached individuals in communities throughout Oregon.
