The Association of University Centers on Disabilities (formerly the American Association of University Affiliated Programs for Persons with Developmental Disabilities) is a 501(c) non-profit organization that promotes and supports the national network of university centers on disabilities, which includes University Centers for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities Education, Research, and Service (UCEDD), Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities (LEND) Programs and Developmental Disabilities Research Centers (DDRC).

 

American Association on Health and Disability (AAHD).
The mission of AAHD is to contribute to national, state, and local efforts to prevent additional health complications in people with disabilities, and to identify effective intervention strategies to reduce the incidence of secondary conditions and the health disparities between people with disabilities and the general population through research, education and advocacy. The National Center on Physical Activity and Disability (NCPAD). 
NCPAD is an information center concerned with physical activity and disability. Being physically active is good for every body. Being active is an important part of getting and staying healthy.  They have information and resources for EVERYONE, from guidelines to consider before starting any exercise program to factsheets on many popular activities, games, recreational pursuits, and sports that have been adapted to allow people with disabilities to participate as fully as they wish, become as active as they wish.  Their goal is to provide you with options and information to help you pursue whatever kind of activity you think you would enjoy.

North Carolina Office on Disability and Health (NCODH).
The North Carolina Office on Disability and Health (NCODH) works to promote the health and wellness of persons with disabilities in North Carolina through an integrated program of policy, practice and research.  The goals of the NCODH are to increase awareness and understanding of the health related needs of individuals with disabilities; improve access and inclusion; develop health promotion programs and educational materials for consumers and professionals; conduct and report on research and data collection; and affect disability policy related to these areas.
