Jeffrey McCubbin , PhD
Jeffrey McCubbin, PhD is Professor and Associate Dean of research
and graduate studies in the College
of Health and Human Sciences at Oregon
State University (OSU). He has been active in advocating and
researching the importance of exercise and physical activity for
people with disabilities.
He directs the nationally recognized graduate program in Movement
Studies in Disability. This program is funded by the US
Department of Education and provides training opportunities to
approximately 12 graduate students. Affiliated with the graduate
program are two community-based programs for persons with disabilities:
IMPACT
(Individualized Movement and Physical Activity for Children Today),
a program that provides an educational opportunity for approximately
85 children in the Corvallis community, and an exercise program for
adults with multiple sclerosis. Dr. McCubbin has published extensively
and presented his research internationally.
