American Disabilities Act (ADA) Answers Northwest
About Us
The Oregon Institute on Disability & Development provides a fee-for-service consulting and training resource for employers who have questions about employing people with disabilities. The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), which is complex and often confusing law, prohibits discrimination against people with disabilities in all phases of employment - from recruitment to interviewing to providing reasonable accommodations to terminating employment.
ADA Answers Northwest fills a void left behind with the ending of the Portland-based NW ADA & IT Center, and specializes in hands-on, example-infused training. ADA Answers NW consults with state and local governments regarding their programs and services to all citizens including those with disabilities. Services may include a comprehensive review of policies and procedures for compliance with the ADA, training on the implementation of self-evaluation, or letting employers know when it is necessary to provide supporting aids and services.
