Sage N. Saxton, PsyD*

Dr. Saxton joined the faculty in late 2004. After completing her doctoral degree, a subsequent fellowship with the New York University Child Development Center allowed her to help create and implement an assessment and treatment program to serve bereaved children and families affected by the attack on the World Trade Center. Currently she conducts emotional, behavioral, and/or educational evaluations for children and adolescents, in conjunction with medical staff, three days per week. Further, she is the consulting psychologist to the Cochlear Inplant Program. She has also worked in a variety of community, university, school, and hospital based clinics providing services to children and families. Dr. Saxton's research interests include developmental and educational outcomes for children born prematurely, outcomes for children receiving cochlear inplants, children's adjustment to traumatic loss, and the provision of hospital based parental support.
