Meeting the Critical Needs of Policy Makers

Where other products provide information that is not easily accessible or directly relevant to local policy decisions, the MED staff identifies and interprets evidence sources, focusing on how they meet the specific policy needs of MED participants. This is accomplished by working closely with participants to understand their evidence needs, and the policy context in which their questions arise. Through group and individual consultation, evidence needs are defined, and specific policy-relevant questions are framed. As well as undertaking reviews of evidence internally, MED staff collaborate with a highly developed network of expert research groups, within the USA and internationally.
