Recruitment Services for Healthcare Practitioners
The Recruitment Service of the Office of Rural Health (ORH) for rural Oregon is designed to link practitioners - family practice and internal medicine physicians, specialty physicians, nurse practitioners and physician assistants, as well as allied health professionals – with practices that meet their professional needs. Our desire is that this will also be in a community that will best meet the personal needs of the practitioner and their family. The ORH is a state agency located at Oregon Health & Science University.
Our Recruitment Services coordinator works with practice opportunity sites throughout rural Oregon. These sites include hospitals, clinics, groups and solo practices. Some are within the public sector, but most are private; some are for-profit ventures and others are not. Any rural health care entity can list its opportunity at www.3RNet.org via our office. We define "rural" communities as those with a population of less than 40,000, located at least ten miles from a community of that size or larger. We are committed to the rural community.
Physicians and other healthcare professionals may access practice opportunity information at www.3RNet.org by registering as a candidate and then searching opportunities. You are encouraged to make your initial contact with the facility HR staff indicated on the posting via e-mail. This is a new process for the ORH and as we are transitioning, all available opportunities may not yet be posted.

Jo is also available to work with you one-on-one and committed to assisting you in finding potential practice opportunity sites that will be suitable for you and your family. Completing the Provider Interview Form will provide the information necessary to assist in focusing our search for you.
Our recruitment service can provide information about Oregon and incentives to practice in the rural parts of our state. These incentives include state income tax credits, state and federal loan repayment programs, and participation in OHSU student/resident clinical rotations.
Oregon's small towns are places where the feeling of "community" is the key to quality of life. The local primary care providers are integral to that sense of community. Specialty providers and allied healthcare professionals provide additional strength to the community. You are needed here. You will be appreciated here.
