Provider Tax Credits

Oregon's Legislature passed SB 438 in 1989, creating the Rural Practitioner Tax Credit for Dentists, MDs, DOs, DPMs, NPs, PAs, CRNAs, and Optometrists (up to $5,000 per year), SB 31 in 2005, creating the Volunteer EMT Tax Credit (up to $250 per year), and HB 3201 and SB 1060 in 2007, creating the TRICARE Benefit. The Oregon Office of Rural Health is charged with administering all of these programs. Please use the links above or the navigation to the left to learn more about each program. A Frequently Asked Questions page for Practitioners is also available.
