Three Focus Areas for 2009 Grants
Partners in Health 2009 grants will focus on one of the following areas:
- Access to Care for Children - Expanding access to primary health services (behavioral, dental and physical) for low-income and underserved children with a special emphasis on the communities served by Providence Health and Services.
- Access to Behavioral Health and Addiction Treatment Services – Expanding behavioral health and addiction treatment direct services to low income and underserved populations in communities served by Providence Health & Services.
- Building Healthy Lives in Healthy Communities - Employing collaborative approaches with communities to adopt and sustain life-long, healthful behaviors and environments as well as engaging hard to reach populations in preventive services
GRANTS ARE DUE NOVEMBER 16, 2009 at 5:00 p.m.
Providence's goal in selecting these three focus areas was to respond to needs identified in their community asset and needs assessment, support the promise of Healthy Kids and lay foundational work for all communities in Oregon to be healthy places to live.
