Each faculty member represents an area of cancer research and has built a team to focus on a specific cancer problem. Team members conduct pre-clinical investigations, utilizing modern methods to identify and validate new molecular targets for prognosis, treatment, and prevention. Our approach provides a successful framework that promotes interactions between basic scientists and clinicians. Faculty members are also deeply involved in training fellows in clinical, translational, and basic science research. Through excellence in faculty research and education of future scientists through the fellowship program, OHSU is positioned at the forefront of cancer research.
