Dr. Ryan received his M.D. from the State University of New York Health Science Center in Syracuse, NY. He completed his residency and fellowship in Hematology/Oncology at the University of Chicago, where he remained on faculty prior to joining OHSU in 2003. Dr. Ryan specializes in the treatment of genitourinary cancers and sarcomas. His research focuses on clinical trial development of new agents for kidney cancer, prostate cancer, and sarcoma. He has particular interest in development of targeted drugs for kidney cancer, management of bone complications of prostate cancer, and multidisciplinary treatment of high-risk soft tissue sarcomas.
