Oncology Therapy & Wellness
Living with a cancer diagnosis and its associated treatments can yield uncertainty for patients and their family members. The professionally trained and state-licensed social workers within the OHSU Cancer Center have experience in assisting patients and their families with the environmental and emotional life changes that may occur after receiving a cancer diagnosis. As cancer may affect one's mind, body and spirit, social work services can be an important part of the multi-disciplinary team.
The OHSU Cancer Center social workers have a broad understanding of cancer, cancer treatment, survivorship, community resources, grief, and palliative/hospice care. Through a variety of services, we hope to provide continuity and support to people with cancer and those who care about them. From diagnosis through completion of treatment, our goal is to assist you in coping well. OHSU provides the following services:
