Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia (CML)
The Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia (CML) Program at the OHSU Center for Hematologic Malignancies is a world-renowned treatment center, which manages patients with CML, in all phases of the disease. Patients who are referred to this program receive a comprehensive analysis of their disease as well as receiving important information about the ever-changing treatments ranging from the newest molecularly targeted therapies to allogeneic bone marrow transplantation. Investigators at OHSU were responsible for the development of Gleevec and continue to lead in the development of new drugs for this disease. During your visit to OHSU, you will have the opportunity to learn details of your disease as well as the news of most promising current treatments. Numerous clinical trials investigating these novels agents are ongoing. As part of your evaluation, your referring physician will be provided with a comprehensive evaluation and recommendations. This can also be provided on an ongoing basis. The Center for Hematologic Malignancies has the support of a leading national laboratory in cytogenetics as well as in molecular diagnostics to monitor your disease in response to treatment.
