What is the Office 2007 compatibility pack?
A plug-in that allows users of Office 2000-2003 to open, edit, and save Office 2007 files (excluding Access). The compatibility pack has already been installed on OHSU workstations. Features new to 2007 will be visible to 2000-2003 users, but not available for editing.
Do I need to upgrade all my applications (Acrobat, etc.) to be compatible with Office 2007?
It will depend on the application. You should check with the application's vendor. For Acrobat compatibility, see this post on OHSU's Migration Forum.

Can I have both Office 2003 and Office 2007 on the same computer?
No.
I opened an old Excel document in 2007. After saving it as a 2007 document, my macro doesn't work. How can I avoid this?
If you open a document in Excel 2007 that contains a macro, it opens in compatibility mode. If you then save the document in the Excel 2007 format, sometimes the macro breaks.
- Save documents that contain macros in their original format.
- Save a backup copy before attempting to convert macros to Office 2007.
