Top tips
- Log in to Outlook Web Access with your OHSU network ID and password.
- Outlook Web Access has two modes: premium and basic. Premium is only available in Internet Explorer 6 and 7. Mac users and those with other browsers use basic mode.
- Outlook Web Access' default security setting is Public computer. After five minutes of inactivity, you have to log in again. Choosing the Private setting when you log in raises this limit to 120 minutes of inactivity.
- Outlook Web Access displays 25 Inbox messages at a time. Use the arrow buttons in the upper right corner to navigate to additional pages of messages. The default number of messages displayed can be changed in the options page (Click the options link, in the lower-left corner).
- In Outlook Web Access' calendar view, set up delegate rights (previously known as proxy access) by clicking the Manage Delegates link on the right side. Click Add, and search for the person you want to grant access to. Select the person and click Add & Close. Assign a permission level for that person by selecting one of the pre-sets from the drop-down list, and click OK.
- To access someone else's calendar in Outlook Web Access, click the Open a Shared Calendar link on the right side of the calendar view. Search for the person and click Open a Shared Calendar. If that person has granted you access, their calendar will open next to yours. You'll see a checkbox on the right side of the calendar that allows you to display or hide the other user's calendar.
