Ambulatory Services Division

OHSU Ambulatory Services includes diagnostic, consultative and treatment areas both on and off the OHSU Marquam Hill Campus. There are more than 80 outpatient practices distributed across 50 geographic regions. These include both primary care and specialty services, such as:

  • Diagnostics (bone densitometry, vascular lab)
  • Primary care (family medicine, adult medicine, pediatrics)
  • Women's health (obstetrics, gynecology, fertilityand other services)
  • Medicine specialties (allergy, cardiology, diabetes, infectious disease, neurology, endocrinology, pulmonary, rheumatology)
  • Surgical Specialties (cardiothoratic surgery, general surgery, oral and maxillofacial surgery, orthopedics, otolaryngology, transplant, trauma, vascular surgery)
  • Casey Eye Institute
  • Child Development and Rehabilitation Center
  • Oncology (adult and pediatric, bone marrow transplant)
  • Pain management
  • Psychiatry
  • Rehabilitation Services
  • Pediatric Medical and Surgical Specialties (cardiology, diabetes, gastroenterology, hematology/oncology, infectious disease, neurology, endocrinology, pulmonary, rheumatology, cardiothoracic surgery, general surgery, oral and maxillofacial surgery, orthopedics, otolaryngology, transplant, trauma, vascular surgery)

Ambulatory Services generates nearly 600,000 outpatient visits per year. CLinical teams comprise providers, clinical staff and non-clinical support staff. Nurses, including advanced practice nurses, registered nurses, and licensed practical nurses, are an integral part of our health care teams.

Some of the hallmarks of ambulatory nursing include rapid patient assessment and flow, coordination and continuity of care, long-term relationships with patients and families, collaboration with other disciplines, preventive care, health promotion/wellness, patient education and telephone triage and advice.
