A variety of required and optional educational conferences are available for the urology residents at OHSU. Resident’s conference takes place Monday mornings at 7 AM and consists lectures by residents, faculty, and visiting faculty. Campbell’s Club follows this conference at 7:45 AM and consists of a 2 year review of the entirety of urology based upon the textbook “Campbell’s Urology”. Urology Grand Rounds take place Thursday evenings and consists of a faculty or visiting professor lecture followed by case presentations by the residents with discussion and review by the group of the imaging findings, pathology, and treatment options. Community urologists attend this meeting and often present interesting cases of their own. Other meetings include the weekly urologic oncologic conference, weekly transplant indications conference, monthly pathology conference, monthly journal club, and quarterly urology M&M conference. Urology residents also attend the surgery M&M meeting weekly.
