Pediatric Surgery Residency Program
 


The Pediatric Surgery Residency Program in the OHSU School of Medicine is a two year program.  Our integrated program rotates between two major hospitals, Doernbecher Children’s Hospital and Legacy Emanuel Children’s Hospital offering a broad and diverse experience in clinical pediatric surgery.

Year 1:  Rotation Plan

Month 1-2:   Doernbecher General Pediatric Surgery
Month 3:      NICU Rotation
Month 4-6:   Doernbecher General Pediatric Surgery
Month 7:      NICU
Month 8-12: Emanuel General Pediatric Surgery

Year 2:  Rotation Plan

Month 1-6:   Emanuel General Pediatric Surgery
Month 7:      Elective month of any specialty and/or clinical research
Month 8-12: Doernbecher General Pediatric Surgery

The second year of the rotation will be at the chief level with responsibility for patient management and semi-independent operative experience under appropriate supervision.
