If you’re flying and coming from Portland International Airport (PDX)
By Train/Bus:
Trimet provides outstanding public transportation for the Portland area. At airport, board any MAX Red-line light rail train (these are the only trains that leave from the airport and will take you downtown as well if OHSU is not your final destination). Get off at Rose Quarter TC MAX Station. At the Rose Quarter Transit Center Max Station, Board 8 NE 15th Ave to Portland, which continues as 8 Jackson Park to OHSU and VA Hospital (this is also the line that serves OHSU from downtown). Get off in front of OHSU’s library (this is the final stop). Fare will be $1.60. Trip will take approximately 70 minutes. For more information go to www.trimet.org
To your right will be a staircase. Take staircase all the way up and walk across the bridge. Continue walking past the fountain in front of you toward the building straight ahead. This is Mackenzie Hall. Enter front doors and take first right and proceed down hall. Approximately halfway down hallway, enter stairway on left. Take stairs up one flight (you will be on the third floor) and exit stairwell. Take left outside of stairwell and proceed to end of hall and take another left. Proceed down hall. The Cardiothoracic Division office is the first door on the left, room 3153.
By Taxi:
Tell taxi you would like to go to Mackenzie Hall on OHSU’s main campus (if they don’t know the location of Mackenzie Hall then ask to be taken to OHSU hospital). The fare will be approximately $25.00.
If you are dropped off in front of Mackenzie hall, enter through the front doors and take first right and proceed down hall. Approximately halfway down hallway, enter stairway on left. Take stairs up one flight (you will be on the third floor) and exit stairwell. Take left outside of stairwell and proceed to end of hall and take another left. Proceed down hall. The Cardiothoracic Division office is the first door on the left, room 3153.
If you are dropped off in front of OHSU’s hospital, enter hospital and ask the information desk for directions to Mackenzie Hall (it’s a short walk to Mackenzie Hall). Follow the above directions once you reach Mackenzie Hall.
If you are Driving to Portland/OHSU
Driving from the North:
Go south on I-5 over the Marquam Bridge. Follow signs to City Center/Beaverton.
Take the S.W. 6th Avenue exit and follow the blue hospital signs. Get into the left lane IMMEDIATELY and turn left on Hall and left again on Broadway. Get in the right lane immediately, following the blue Hospital signs, and turn right at S.W. 6th which will take you past the Carnival Restaurant and up the hill to OHSU.
Driving from the South:
Go north on I-5. Follow the Beaverton/City Center signs. Take the S.W. 6th Avenue exit and follow the blue hospital signs. Get into the left lane IMMEDIATELY and turn left on Hall and left again on Broadway. Get in the right lane immediately, following the blue Hospital signs, and turn right at S.W. 6th which will take you past the Carnival Restaurant and up the hill to OHSU.
Driving from the East:
Go west on I-84 to the junction with I-5. Cross the Marquam Bridge: follow signs to City Center/Beaverton. Take the S.W. 6th Avenue exit and follow the blue hospital signs. Get into the left lane IMMEDIATELY and turn left on Hall and left again on Broadway. Get in the right lane immediately, following the blue Hospital signs, and turn right at S.W. 6th which will take you past the Carnival Restaurant and up the hill to OHSU.
Driving from the West:
Go east on Highway 26/Sunset toward Portland. Follow signs to The Dalles/Salem (I-405) south. Go through the tunnel staying in the right hand lane. Take the S.W. 6th Avenue exit, turning right at S.W. 6th, which will take you past the Carnival restaurant and up the hill to OHSU.
Parking Parking is available Monday through Friday, before 5 pm; follow the signs to the Parking Information Booth to obtain your parking pass (all day pass is $10.00). The parking attendant will tell you where to park (ask for parking that is close to Mackenzie Hall). Parking is free on Saturday and Sunday.
