Interest and Accomplishments:
Ruth is a student majoring in Biochemistry at Portland State University. She plans to be a medical scientist. Ruth is actively involved at Portland State as one of the coordinators for the Organization of International Students (OIS), as a Resident Assistant for the dorms and as a Student Mentor for new incoming students. As a recipient of the Irving Levin/Stephanie Fowler Scholarship and ICSP scholarship, Ruth enjoys giving presentations about her Kenyan culture and heritage in various settings around the Portland Community.
