Dr. CR Thomas, Jr. was a visiting professor at College of Medicine at Howard University
Dr. CR Thomas, Jr., prof. & chair of the OHSU/Knight Cancer Institute Department of Radiation Medicine, was a visiting professor at College of Medicine, home of legendary surgeon, Dr. Charles Drew at Howard University. Dr. Oscar Streeter, prof. & chair of the department of radiation oncology at Howard, served as host.

Dr. Thomas met several members of the Howard College of Medicine community, including Drs. Oscar Streeter Jr., LaSalle De. Leffall, Jr.,
 
the Charles R. Drew professor of surgery; Wayne Frederick, director of the Howard University Cancer Center and chief of the division of general surgery at Howard University Hospital;
Debra H. Ford, vice-chair & residency director in the department of surgery;
and students and staff associates of the department of radiation oncology.
