| News March 26, 2009 3rd Consecutive OHSU medical student receives selective RSNA Research Medical Student Grant award Kristina Hoot, Ph.D. (Class of 2010), a student in the Medical Scientist Training Program received a 2009-2010 RSNA Research Medical Student award from the Research and Education Foundation of the Radiological Society of North America. Dr. Hoot's grant is titled "Efficacy of Targeted Molecular Therapies Combined with Irradiation on Skin Squamous Cell Carcinomas". Dr. Molly Kulesz-Martin, vice-chair, prof., & director of research for the department of dermatology, is the scientific mentor for this project. Dr. Charles Thomas, Jr. is the sponsor. According to Department chair, Dr. CR Thomas, Jr., “Dr. Hoot continues to evolve and mature into a physician-scientist dedicated to a career in academic radiation medicine. She is poised to a significant impact as a translational cancer biology research in the coming years". | |
