Dr. Thomas to Co-Present at Department of Orthopedics and Rehabiliation Medicine Grand Rounds

The OHSU Multidisciplinary Spinal Metastasis Consortium will present a Grand Rounds titled, "Update on the Approach to Metastatic Spine Tumors", on October 1st, 2007 at 7:30 - 8:30 am, in OPC 4248 (Outpatient Clinic Building on the OHSU campus).

Co-founded by doctors Andrew Nemecek, Robert Hart, Charles Thomas, Christopher Ryan, and Erik Fromme, this multidisciplinary collaboration of physicians and scientists are committed to providing comprehensive treatment to patients with cancer involving the spine.

This group bridges a broad range of specialists from the University community to provide seamless integrated care tailored to specifically meet the needs of each patient according to their health status.

The team further promotes the University mission of bringing together healing, discovery and education by conducting clinical research aimed at establishing multimodality treatment paradigms which improve patient related outcomes.

We serve as a resource for health care providers throughout the region, facilitating access to state of the art treatments for patients in all corners of the state.

This unique approach will serve as a model of interdisciplinary collaboration for quaternary medical centers worldwide.
