June 11, 2007 Dr. Roy R. Deffebach visited the Department on Monday, June 11th, 2007
Dr. Deffebach, one of the original trainees in both diagnostic and therapeutic radiology from the pioneering UCSF program, was one of the pivotal leaders in getting our specialty the proper recognition for scope of work during the 1960's and 1970's.
Dr. Deffebach was past-president (1985-86) of the American College of Radiology, Chair of the California Medical Association Committee on Health Planning & Resource Development, & a past member of the ASTRO Board of Directors. He is an emeritus director of the Sequoia Hospital foundation board, where he had been one of the stalwarths of the radiation oncology and cancer program.
