History of Radiation Oncology in Oregon

Dr. Kenneth R. Stevens, Jr., professor & chair emeritus, presented a special lecture on the “History of Radiation Oncology in Oregon” on Friday, January 2rd, 2009 in the Old Library Auditorium.  Special guests included Dr. William T. Moss, professor and chair emeritus; Dr. Sarah S. Donaldson, professor & associate chair of the department of radiation oncology at Stanford University Medical Center; and Dr. John W. Rieke, medical director of the MultiCare Regional Cancer Center in Tacoma, WA. Drs. Donaldson and Rieke are both Portland natives and have a rich personal history with OHSU that spans decades.  Both, Drs. Moss and Donaldson are recipients of the ASTRO Gold Medal & also the American Radium Society Janeway Lectureship. The OHSU History of Medicine Society and Dr. Rieke provided support for this special program.
