Jerry J. Jaboin, MD, PhD, gave a research seminar in the Department of Radiation Oncology on Wednesday, July 22nd, 2009.

Jerry J. Jaboin, MD, PhD, chief resident at Vanderbilt University, gave a research seminar at the Oregon Health & Science University’s Department of Radiation Oncology on Wednesday, July 22nd, 2009.  The title of his seminar was “Predictive Genomics:  Optimizing Cancer Care Using Single Nucleotide Polymorphisms”. 

Dr. Jaboin is shown here receiving a certificate of appreciation and portrait of Oregon, from Dr. CR Thomas, Jr.  Dr. Jaboin, enrolled in the ABR Holman Pathway, is a recipient of a 2009 Resident/Fellow Research Award from the RSNA Research and Education Foundation.

Dr. Jaboin is flanked by co-chief residents, Drs. Patrick Gagnon and Tasha McDonald, the latter two who are recipients of the ASCO Young Investigator Award and RSNA Resident/Fellow Research Grant award, respectively. Dr. Jaboin has also previously received a 2009 ASTRO Resident Research Grant and a 2008 ASTRO Residents/Fellows in Radiation Oncology Seed Grant Award.
