The Cyberknife is an innovative technology capable of delivering highly accurate and conformal radiation treatments without the use of a frame for immobilization. A technique, called "stereotactic radiosurgery," has been used for decades to treat benign and malignant conditions in the brain and spine. The Cyberknife can use this technique to treat tumors at any body site, including skull base, lung, liver, pancreas, prostate, bladder, cervix, and uterus. In addition to stereotactic radiosurgery, Dr. Hoffelt has experience with lung, prostate, gynecological cancers, and has published regarding these topics. He is also experienced in IMRT, prostate brachytherapy, breast brachytherapy, HDR and LDR brachytherapy, and intracavitary coronary artery brachytherapy.
