Certification: American Board of Radiology/Radiation Oncology, American Board of Internal Medicine (Medical Oncology Sub-specialty) Interest and Accomplishments: Dr. Thomas joined the OHSU faculty in November 2005 as Professor and Chair of the department. Dr. Thomas is an active member on multiple committees, including the ACR, AJCO, RTOG, ASTRO, and the JCO. He was recently named amongst the "Best Doctors in America" and has served as Chair or Co-Chair in SWOG, ACOSOG, and NSABP protocols. His primary areas of interest are GI and Thoracic malignancies, Translational Research, and Outcomes Research. Department chair, Dr. CR Thomas, is flanked (left to right) by Drs. Dr. Stain, the Neil Lempert professor & chair of the department of surgery at Albany Medical College and immediate past-chair of the Am Board of Surgery board of directors, visited OHSU as the 4th annual William Krippaehne Lecture in Surgical Education presenter on Monday, September 20th, 2010.
