Description:

It is expected that the radiation medicine clinic nursing team provide direct patient care to individuals undergoing radiation therapy procedures.  He/she will conduct patient and family interviews, provide education regarding the therapy process, as well as the expected side effect profile of treatment. 

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing symptom management, in collaboration with medical staff, to patients experiencing side-effects of therapy. 

Our nursing staff helps to maintain protocol compliance for patients taking part in research protocols. Furthermore, it is expected that the clinic nurse functions as a liaison with other departments providing collaborative care to this unique patient population, provides informal education to radiation therapy technology students, as part of their curriculum."
