Insurance and Billing
How you pay for your health care will depend on whether you have health insurance and the type of coverage you have.
Your health plan may pay for all or part of the cost of your care. Call your insurance plan administrator or medical network to ensure there are no limitations to your access to OHSU care. OHSU participates in the insurance plans and medical networks listed on the OhsuHealth.com web site by providing primary and specialty care. This list is not all-inclusive. If you are interested in using OHSU clinics, and your plan or network is not listed, call them to ask if OHSU is an approved option for you.
Questions:
I am not billing my insurance for services: Self-pay patients need to have registered as self-pay so the charges are billed correctly. Payment is made at the time of service. Self-pay patients require a physician referral.
Payments are made at the time of service: If you are not covered by your insurance for your visit, you need to register for your appointment as "self-pay" prior to your appointment. Payment is due at the time of service. Also, be prepared to make any payments or co-payments.
