Bioanalytical Shared Resource/Pharmacokinetics Core Facility (BSR/PKCore)
The Bioanalytical Shared Resource (BSR) is available at OHSU for the analysis of drugs and their metabolites and bio-molecules such as simple peptides, oligonucleotides, carbohydrates, lipids, and steroids. It provides open access to a laboratory where users prepare and analyze their own samples by HPLC, GC/MS or LC/MS on equipment maintained by BSR personnel. The PKCore is a service laboratory that provides a complete analysis of samples including the development of analytical methods, sample preparation, and data analysis for clinical trials as well as basic science investigations. Support for experimental design and the interpretation and modeling of pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic data can be obtained from the pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic modeling group associated with the PKCore.
A facility that uses a state-of-the-art NMR spectrometer to verify or determine the structure of organic molecules. Housed in the Program in Chemical Biology, it is designed to exploit the power of designed small molecules as probes of protein and cellular function and to provide the foundation for the development of prototypic therapeutic agents.
Gene Microarray Shared Resource: A centralized facility that provides RNA expression profiling services to OHSU researchers.
Proteomics Shared Resource: Uses mass spectrometry to identify and characterize proteins.
Transgenic/Gene Targeting Core: Generates transgenic mice.
Research Development & Administration (RDA): Resources, forms, and policies about doing research at OHSU.
Library Resources for PH2: Our liaison in the library, Andrew Hamilton, created this comprehensive portal for library research. It includes links to journals, e-books, and other materials; many of the library's journal holdings are available full-text online. Contact Andrew directly for research assistance.
