Lectures, Seminars & Colloquia

Distinguished Scientists Endowed Lectures

The Department of Physiology and Pharmacology is fortunate to host four premier, endowed lectures. These series invite prominent scientists from around the world to visit OHSU and to meet with faculty, postdoctoral fellows, and graduate students. These lectures have featured Nobel Laureates, members of the National Academy of Sciences, and other preeminent researchers.  The lectures are held in the OHSU Auditorium.

Visiting Speakers Seminar Series

As a part of the Departmental Seminar series and often in collaboration with other OHSU units, we are proud to host a range of speakers from across the nation and around the world. The varied topics and expertise are a stimulus for faculty, postdoctoral fellows, and graduate students alike. External speakers generally share lunch with graduate students and postdoctoral fellows during their visits. These seminars are presented on Thursdays at 4:00 p.m. in the Vollum Auditorium.

Colloquia

Research interest groups and PH2 graduate students alternate presenting at these colloquia, which take place on Tuesdays at 4:00 p.m. in the Steinberg Conference Room.
