MSTC Pediatrics 2

Pediatrics 2 should build on and expand the knowledge and skills that were acquired in the third year. The major shift in emphasis will be to the outpatient setting, with its undiagnosed problems, quicker pace, common and mild problems and emphasis on prevention and well-child care. The rotation has been designed to have several options in order to fit the individual career goals and objectives of each student.

Orientation

 

You have two options as far as orientation. You must choose one of these options.

Option 1: I will have packets ready for each by the end of the week before the rotation set to begin. You can stop by and chat with me and pick up your packet and text books sometime before the Friday preceding your rotation start between 8 am and 4:30 pm the week before your clerkship begins. Please call ahead to make sure I am at my desk.

NOTE: STUDENTS ASSIGNED TO THESE ROTATIONS MUST USE OPTION 1 and come see me the week before the rotation begins.

Option 2:

If you haven't made it to pick up your packet and text books the week before  your clerkship, this option is mandatory. It will lat no longer then a half an hour, then you will go on to your sites.

Orientation is on the first Monday of the clerkship in CDRC 1135 at 7am.
