You will be required to take call during your pediatric clerkship.   For further details about call, please see the Clerkship Orientation Manual.

Students rotating at St. Vincent's Hospital will have call q5 for the first 4 weeks until 11 pm, there is no overnight call for this clerkship.   There is no call the final week of the clerkship.

Call schedules are extremely difficult to put together. Considerations may be given to students who notify Dr. Bumsted or Trevor Monteith about needing a night or weekend off before the call schedule is created, so notify right away. Otherwise, outside of very exceptional circumstances (not a husband's birthday party or a friend's baby shower) or illness, changes to the call schedule will not be permitted.
