The objective of this elective is to provide experience in several aspects of pediatric infectious diseases. Students will review basic microbiology, learn to perform a complete evaluation of a patient with a possible or proven infectious disease, and gain knowledge in managing these patients. Patients will be seen in outpatient subspecialty clinic and as inpatient consultations.

On the morning of the first day of your rotation dial the OHSU paging operator at 4-9000. Ask them to page the Pediatric Infectious Disease attending on call. They will connect you. Find out where to meet your team.
Visiting Students
On the first day of your elective, just after your orientation and after you get your ID badge, dial the OHSU paging operator at 4-9000. Ask them to page the Pediatric Infectious Disease attending on call. They will connect you. Find out where to meet your team.
Please realize that you will need to be excused from your rotation to attend required computer training during your first few days on the rotation.
