Molecular Basis of Cell Biology III
Eukaryotic Cell Biology
The molecular basis of growth and differentiation in eukaryotic cells and, in particular, mammalian cells are covered. Areas discussed are: structure and function of DNA and chromatin; membrane systems of eukaryotic cells; protein synthesis, processing and intracellular traffic; structure and function of the plasma membrane; cytoskeleton and extra cellular matrix; chemical signaling; and cell cycle and growth regulation. Prerequisite: Molecular Basis of Cell Biology I or equivalent.
