Surgical Management of Pain
Pain is a complex and multifaceted disorder requiring multidisciplinary care. The Surgical Pain Management program provides comprehensive pain care, including psychological evaluation and counseling, with a special emphasis on surgical treatments of medically-intractable pain problems. The center is a national leader in the treatment of orofacial pains, including trigeminal neuralgia (tic douloureaux). The center also provides Advanced Pain Therapies (APT) with Medical Devices, including the use of spinal cord stimulation and intraspinal drug administration systems.
