Biography
Jianji Yang is an NIH Post-Doctoral Fellow in the Department of Medical Informatics and Clinical Epidemiology at OHSU. She finished a four-year National Library of Medicine pre-doctoral fellowship in September 2007. Prior to joining DMICE, she had worked in both clinical and biological research laboratories. Her current area of research is in the use of text mining and machine learning techniques to improve the efficiency of medical literature curation. Her interests include information retrieval and summarization in a biomedical domain.
She earned her BS in Physics at Zhongshan University, Guangzhou, China, her MA in Biochemistry at City College of New York, NY, and her PhD in Biomedical Informatics at Oregon Health & Science University, Portland, Oregon.
