Biography


Heather K. Hill DDS is a NLM Research Fellow in OHSU’s Department of Medical Informatics and Clinical Epidemiology, a masters student and a clinician.  Heather is interested in bridging the gap between research and practice with the ultimate goal of improving patients' oral health and dental experiences.  Her current research focuses on improving the dissemination of Evidence-Based Dentistry and understanding the barriers to adoption of clinical information systems.  Heather is a member of Northwest PRECDEDENT, a network of private and public health dentists conducting clinical studies in their respective practices.  Heather is the editor of the Dental Informatics Online Community Learning Center (www.dentalinformatics.com).  Heather received her DDS for the University of Minnesota and completed a General Practice Residency at the Portland VA Medical Center.  Since graduating from dental school, Heather has practiced as a general dentist in the Portland Area.
