Biography

Kyle is a Ph.D. student in the Bioinformatics track of the Department of Medical Informatics and Clinical Epidemiology. His research interests center around machine learning, text processing, and statistical modeling of behavioral data. At present, Kyle is working with Aaron Cohen to develop novel text-mining techniques to streamline information retrieval in Evidence-based Medicine. He is also collaborating with Holly Jimison and Misha Pavel, with whom he is studying statistical modeling strategies for detecting cognitive decline in patients using in-home health monitoring.
