Faculty: Marian McDonagh
BiographyMarian S. McDonagh is an assistant professor in OHSU's Department of Medical Informatics and Clinical Epidemiology, where she is an investigator in the Evidence-based Practice Center (EPC). Dr. McDonagh is principal investigator of the EPC Drug Effectiveness Review Project, which is funded by a collaboration of organizations and evaluates the evidence on effectiveness and safety comparisons between drugs in the same class. In addition, she leads the Topics Core for the EPC Scientific Resource Center for the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ)’s Effective Healthcare Program, which has responsibility for developing review topics and key questions, and providing technical assistance to other EPCs conducting reviews for the Program. She is interested in comparative systematic reviews methodology and evidence-based medicine as applied to competing interventions. McDonagh received a PharmD from the University of Washington, a BS in pharmacy from Oregon State University, and completed a residency at the Carl T. Hayden Veteran’s Affairs Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona. She served as a research fellow at the Centre for Reviews and Dissemination at the University of York, York, England, and currently serves as affiliate faculty at the Oregon State University College of Pharmacy. |
