BiographyDr. Gorman's research is focused on the use of information by experts, mainly clinicians, in real-world problem-solving, mainly patient care. Most often, his work uses observational methods to study the activities of individuals and groups as they use information to perform real world tasks, e.g., information needs, seeking and use, naturalistic decision making, distributed cooperative problem solving, distributed cognition, and social informatics. |
