Academics: Summer Biomedical Informatics InternshipThe OHSU DMICE Summer Undergraduate Research Program provides paid internship opportunities for students to work intensively with faculty on research projects for ten weeks during the summer. The program's goals are to introduce students to research projects in Biomedical Informatics, facilitate interactions with DMICE faculty, and to increase awareness among undergraduates about this exciting field. Students will present their research projects at the end of the program in a mini symposium. To view the 2008 presentations, please go to our blog at http://oninformatics.com and search for entries titled "Video: Summer Intern Presentations." Testimonials from OHSU summer 2007 interns: "The DMICE internship gave me a chance to work with Dr. Holly Jimison and Mischa Pavel on a project that looked at the Monitoring of Cognitive Decline in Elders Through Computer Games. This was a great opportunity to not only work with faculty on novel research but also to gain firsthand experience in the field of academia. I would recommend this program for all those interested and motivated in the field of medical informatics."--Thai Le "I really enjoyed working at OHSU as a summer intern. The best thing I liked was working closely with faculty members to both learn and accomplish something during the internship period. I felt people at OHSU really cared about my learning."--Yeounoh Chung FAQs Please see the FAQs for complete application instructions before submitting the form below.
